As China’s first national forest park, Zhangjiajie is known for the hidden valleys, and mysterious limestone caves. Its quartzite-sandstone formations found nowhere else in the world also inspired the Hallelujah Mountains in the movie Avatar. Other highlights such as cruise on the serene Baofeng Lake, ride the world’s longest cable car to Tianmen (Heaven Gate) Mountain, and walk across the world’s longest and highest glass bridge over the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, etc. You can also extend your tour by visiting the nearby Fenghuang ancient town to experience the colorful minority culture and distinct ancient architecture building style.

Arrive Zhangjiajie – China First National Forest Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, guide meet at airport and transfer to the hotel.
Morning tour starts by taking Bailong Elevator, the tallest elevator reaching a height of 1070 feet to visit Yuanjiajie Nature Reserve – world famous as the mountains here inspired the floating mountains in the Hollywood movie “Avatar ”. In the afternoon, ascend Tianzi Mountain by cable car. Mt. Tianzi is noted for its peak forest and misty clouds seas.
Stroll along the Golden Whip Stream which covers a distance of 4.5 miles, winding across mountains and valleys to feel the fresh air, enjoy abundant trees and flowers. After that, tour Great Canyon and the Glass-bottomed Bridge, which is 1410 feet long, 20 feet wide and 990 feet above the valley floor spanning across the canyon, it is the world’s longest and highest glass bridge without using of any reinforced concrete.
Discover the natural wonders of Baofeng Lake featuring beautiful natural scenery, it is located in the mountains with abundant water, fresh air, green trees and stone peaks of various shapes surround the lake giving it a fairy tale-like atmosphere. Afternoon, ride the world’s longest cable car (30 minutes ride covering 5 miles distance) to Tianmen Mountain. Also known as the Heavenly Gate Mountain, named after the natural formation of a huge cave half way up the mountain, like a gate way to heaven. Overnight in Zhangjiajie city.
After breakfast, drive to Fenghuang (3.5 hrs). Upon arrival, tour the major attractions around the town and see the well preserved ancient residential buildings with the history over 200 years, ancient lanes and alleys, as well as ancient town walls. The town also harbors many unique ethnic languages, customs and folk arts. Enjoy a boat ride in Tuojiang River. After dinner, enjoy the fabulous night view of the ancient town.
Morning free to explore the town on own. After lunch, transfer to airport or train station in Zhangjiajie (3.5 hrs) for departure.
