Arrive Beijing. Our tour guide will meet you at airport and transfer to hotel for check in.
Morning tour visit the Temple of Heaven, a complex visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for prayer to Heaven for good harvest. Now days, you will find locals practicing Taichi and other unique morning exercises. After lunch, visiting Tiananmen Square and explore the Forbidden City, the largest imperial palace in the world. Enjoy the famous Beijing Duck dinner in evening.
Tour visit the Great Wall. You may hike or take the cable car to the top to enjoy the magnificent view. Afternoon, return back to Beijing and rest day free to rest or explore the Wangfujing area on own.
Morning tour to Summer Palace, an imperial garden in the Qing Dynasty and the largest and the most well-preserved imperial garden in China. Afternoon, visit the Hutong alley ways with rickshaw ride to learn traditional Beijing culture and history. Then take a leisure stroll through the NanluoguXiang, an alley way in old part of Beijing combining old architecture and modern gallery, cafe and souvenir shops.
Take morning flight to Urumqi (3 hrs) – the capital of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous. Upon arrival, guide meets and take city tour to the Provincial Museum to see the incredible mummies from 2,000 years ago, then visit the Red Hill Park and the local Bazaar.
Drive along the ancient Silk Road across the Heavenly Mount to Turpan (2.5 hrs) – an oasis surrounded by desert and dry mountains. Upon arrival, visit the mysterious ruins of Jiaohe city (UNESCO world heritage site), the Karez – the ancient underground water supply and irrigation system (UNESCO world heritage site), and the Grape Valley.
Morning tour to Sugong Pagoda, the Flaming Mountain, Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Grottoes and visit a local family. Return Urumqi in later afternoon and take evening flight to Kashgar (2.5 hrs). Transfer to hotel upon arrival.
Morning tour starts with watching the Moslems Sunday pray. Then, visit the famous Sunday Bazaar (only open on Sunday) – the largest outdoor market in mid-Asia. In the afternoon, visit the Tombs of the Fragrant Concubine and the well-preserved Old Town of Kashigar (UNESCO world heritage site). Take late flight back to Urumqi.
Depart Urumqi to Dunhuang by morning flight (2 hrs). Upon arrival, visit Mogao Grottoes (UNECO world heritage site). The grottoes preserve nearly a thousand years of Buddhist cave-temple architecture, clay sculpture, mural paintings, and manuscripts, dating from the 5th to 14th centuries.
Drive across the desert to Yumen (Jade Gate) Pass, which is the west terminal of the Great Wall built 2,100 years ago. Then, visit the Crescent Moon Lake and Singing Sand Dunes. Ride a camel and enjoy the marvelous sunset.
Take morning flight to Xian (2.5 hrs). Upon arrival, take tour visit Terracotta Warriors Museum, a collection of life size terracotta sculptures in battle formation guarding the mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China for over 2000 years. Afternoon, tour visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Grand Mosque and Muslim Quarter. For dinner, you will experience the famous dumpling feast where you can choose from over 100 varieties. After dinner, attend the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show.
Morning tour to the ancient city wall and Provincial Historical Museum. Afternoon, depart for Shanghai by flight (2.5 hrs). Upon arrival, guide meet and transfer to hotel. Rest day free.
Morning tour the old part of Shanghai by visiting the famousYu Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, Shanghai Museum, Xintiandi and Tianzifang area. Later afternoon, visit the the Bund to see the charming view of Huangpu river and distinctive architectures. Later stroll through the famous Nanjing Road, the main shopping streets of Shanghai.
Day tour to Suzhou by car (1.5 hrs) and visiting Lingering Garden, Penman Gate, boat ride on the Grand Canal and Embroidery Institute. Return to Shanghai in later afternoon.
Transfer to airport for departure.
Based on flight schedule, can arrange optional tour visit the Pudong New Development Zone and Shanghai Tower (as of 2019, it’s the 2nd tallest building with world’s tallest observation deck).
