Highlights:
Morning transfer from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji area by bus (2.5 hrs). Take cable car up to Mt. Fuji 5th Station, 7500 ft above sea level for breathtaking views from above the clouds. After Japanese style lunch, take sightseeing cruise on Lake Ashi which formed from volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji from various angles. Afterwards, take cable car ride up to the peak of Mt. Komagatake and visit the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya.
Later afternoon, transfer to Odawara station and take bullet train to Kyoto (2-2.5 hrs). Upon arrival, guide will assist with boarding prearranged taxi to hotel for check-in.
Morning tour visit Nijo Castle, Golden Pavilion and Kyoto Imperial Palace (closed on Mondays). After lunch, transfer to Nara by car and and visit the Todaiji Temple, symbol of Nara and one of the world’s largest wooden structures. Then tour Nara Park, Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Nara Nagomikan handicraft center. Return back to Kyoto in early evening.
Day free on own to explore Kyoto.
Option 2 If need to depart from Tokyo, will arrange transfer return to Tokyo by end of this day.
