Today’s tour of Hanoi provides an in-depth look in to the history and culture of the city. Visit the house and Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh (Closed on Mon and Fri and every afternoon), the country’s oldest university – the Temple of Literature- and the lakeside Tran Quoc Pagoda. A chauffeured ride though the city’s Old Quarter is an invigorating way to explore the dozens of small streets and lively shop fronts in this area before ending this afternoon at one of the dozens of museums in the area.

Morning transfer to the UNESCO site of Halong Bay (3.5 hrs). Upon arrival, board the cruise and enjoy a welcome drink and a delicious seafood lunch as the boat sailing out of the bay. You will get to explore the Sung Sot Cave, the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay, swim and relaxing at the beach of Titov Island or climb up to the top of the island for a panorama view of Halong Bay. Enjoy early morning Tai Chi on board. After breakfast, you get the chance to Kayak around the Luon Cave, enjoy the view as cruise passing by Ba Hang fishing village, Dog Islet, etc, view of the bay’s landscape.

Disembark cruise and transfer to airport for late afternoon flight to Hue. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel.

After breakfast, drive to visit the former Imperial Citadel, an UNESCO site, from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. Then, take a relaxing sunset cruise on the Perfume River. Evening, enjoy a traditional musical/show on the river.

Morning transfer to Hoi An. It is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 16th to the 18th century for Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab merchants. Listed as an UNESCO site, it is known for its silk, eclectic architecture, and streets reflecting the influences by both indigenous and foreign. Enjoy the walk through the Old Quarters to see the local landmarks and discover the local crafts in the nearby villages. Overnight in Hoi An.

Morning, transfer to Da Nang and take flight to Ho chi Minh City. Take Afternoon tour visit the Cathedral of Notre Dame (outside) as well as the Central Post Office and pass by the ornate City Hall (Hotel De Ville) and old Opera House. Visit The Unification Palace, which formerly was Independence palace of the South Vietnamese President. Then visit one of the most famous history museum, the War Remnants Museum.

Morning transfer to Cai Be and visit the floating markets. Take a boat through the waterway maze to Vinh Long and enjoy a delta lunch at local Bonsai gardener’s house. After lunch, continue to explore the tributaries and canals of the Delta. Later afternoon, visit local family and join the locals for “Catching fish by hand” and enjoy the dinner with the locals. Overnight in Homestay in Vinh Long.

After breakfast, take a bike ride to local market and experience the local market food shopping. Learn and assist the locals to cook traditional Vietnamese dishes for lunch. After lunch, transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. Rest day free on own.

Morning you travel to the underground village of Cu Chi and discover the incredible 200km network of tunnels where the Viet Cong lived and fought during the war.

Afternoon free at leisure.

Free till transfer to airport for departure.
