Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Arrive Luang Prabang
Laos Mekong DeltaUpon arrival at Phnom Penh airport, guide transfer to hotel.

Day 02 Luang Prabang – Pak Ou – Pakbeng (B)
Luang Say boat leaves Auberge Calao pier at 7AM for cruising up the Mekong River to Luang Say Lodge in Pakbeng. A continental breakfast is served on board. The boat first stops opposite the mouth of the Nam Ou River to visit Pak Ou caves where there are two caves ‘Tham Ting’ and ‘Tham Phoum’ and thousands of Buddha images are found. A buffet lunch is served on board. The second stop is at Ban Baw to observe the processing of the traditional rice alcohol. The boat arrives at Luang Say Lodge before sunset for an overnight stay and a dinner is served on the terrace overlooking the Mekong River.

Day 03 Pakbeng – Houei Sai (B, L)
A continental breakfast is served on the terrace from 6a.m. The boat leaves Luang Say Lodge at 7a.m. and one stop is made en route to Houei Sai in order to observe some rural life along the Mekong River at Ban Houy Phalam; a Kamu village. A buffet lunch is served on board. The boat arrives at slow boat pier in Houei Sai before 5PM.

Day 04 Houe Sai – Vientiane (B)
Patuxai, LaosAfter breakfast, free at leisure before transfer to the airport for a short flight to the charming and fascinating Lao capital of Vientiane . On arrival we check into our hotel. After short rest, we will visit the Morning Market and the weaving village of Ban Nong Bouathong.

Day 05 Vientiane (B)
Today we begin to see the major sights of the capital, including Wat Sisaket, which contains more than 8000 Buddha statues, Wat Ho Prakeo the former home of the Emerald Buddha statue and That Luang Stupa, the single most important monument in Laos. We also see the Patuxay (Lao Arc de Triomphe), which was built in commemoration of those who died during past wars and today it is the city’s main landmark. In the afternoon we transfer out to see Buddha Park, a scattered and enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures near the Friendship Bridge. There are approximately 200 religious images heredating back over 500 years. Observing the spectacular sunset view over the Mekong River is a perfect way to finish the day.

Day 06 Vientiane – Departure (B)
Free till transfer to airport for flight departure.
